Concrete slabs can represent approximately 45% of a building’s total concrete volume, making them a significant source of embodied carbon. This webinar explores how the long-term strength and stiffness of high-early-strength concrete can support thinner, more material-efficient two-way slabs. Drawing on over 100 field measurements, the presentation will examine potential carbon and cost savings while addressing practical considerations such as embedded services, acoustics, sequencing, and reshoring.
